Twiggy Tags Slip Lead – 1.2m Recycled Dog Lead

Important: Amy's Pet Supplies does not recommend slip leads for dogs who pull. Only use this lead with a dog who already walks on a loose lead, with careful fitting and handling. It must never be used to stop pulling or for lead corrections.

The Twiggy Tags Slip Lead combines hard-wearing recycled materials with a padded swivel handle, a rubber stopper and reflective stitching. Choose Lagoon, Nomad, Sakura or Onyx.

Features

• Padded handle for a comfortable grip.
• Swivel connection helps reduce twisting as your dog moves and sniffs.
• Recycled materials for a practical, hard-wearing lead that is easy to clean.
• Rubber stopper helps maintain the fitted loop position.
• Reflective stitching helps visibility when illuminated in low light.
• Manufacturer strength-tested to over 200kg. This is a strength-test figure, not a recommended dog weight or a guarantee against injury.

Size

4ft / 1.2m total length, including the neck loop. The usable lead length becomes shorter as the neck loop gets larger.

Careful fitting and use

A slip lead tightens around the neck under tension. Pulling, lunging or jerking the lead can cause injury. Keep the lead loose throughout use.

1. Following the manufacturer's guidance, position the loop high on the neck at the base of the ears, with room to fit a finger between the lead and your dog's neck. Do not fit it tightly.
2. If your dog walks on your left, form a 'p' shape, with the lead length towards you.
3. If your dog walks on your right, form a 'q' shape, with the lead length towards you.
4. Check that the loop releases freely whenever tension is removed. Use the rubber stopper to maintain the fit.
5. Keep slack in the lead. If your dog pulls or lunges, stop using the slip lead and seek guidance from a qualified, reward-based dog trainer.

Use only while actively supervising your dog. Never leave it on an unattended dog or use it for tethering. If you are unsure about fitting or suitability, ask for professional guidance before use.
