Getting started

Secure the feeder to a clean, smooth surface before use. Begin with a few easy-to-find treats so your dog can learn the game. Increase the challenge gradually, or add a small amount of suitable paste to the lick mat.

Choose rewards appropriate for your dog and account for them in their daily food allowance. Stay nearby to encourage gentle investigation and put the toy away after the session.

Cleaning and safety

Spot clean each treat hole with warm, soapy water and allow to air dry fully before reuse.

Always supervise your pet. Check regularly for wear and remove immediately if damaged. Make sure the feeder remains securely attached during use.

Amy's tip: Keep the first session short and easy, helping your dog discover a reward before adding more hiding places.
