K9 Instinct Eggshell Powder 150g | Calcium Supplement for Dogs

K9 Instinct Eggshell Powder 150g is a natural calcium supplement for dogs, made from finely milled eggshells with nothing else added. It is intended for use in appropriately formulated homemade and DIY raw diets where an additional calcium source is needed. The fine powder mixes into food, providing a simple single-ingredient option. Use as part of a diet plan checked by your vet or a qualified veterinary nutritionist, rather than adding it automatically to every meal.

Key benefits and features

• Natural source of calcium, an essential nutrient for bones and teeth.
• Made from 100% egg shell.
• Finely milled powder to mix into food.
• For homemade and DIY raw diets where the recipe requires added calcium.
• 150g resealable pouch.

Why choose eggshell powder?

Eggshell powder offers a calcium source for recipes that do not use bone. However, it is not a complete substitute for all the nutrients in bone, and adding it alone does not make a homemade diet complete and balanced. The amount needed depends on the whole recipe, including its calcium and phosphorus content.

K9 Instinct states that this product is endorsed by herbalist vet Clara Greenwood. This endorsement does not replace individual dietary advice for your dog.

Safety information

Always provide fresh drinking water. Complete, balanced dog foods normally already contain the calcium a dog needs; do not add extra calcium unless your vet advises it. Too much calcium can be harmful. Puppies, particularly large-breed puppies, need carefully balanced diets: use only with veterinary guidance. Seek advice before use for pregnant or nursing dogs, dogs with medical conditions or dogs taking medication. Contains egg shell.

Amy's Tip 🐾

If you're preparing meals at home, get the recipe checked before adding supplements. A small measuring spoon helps you be consistent, but the right amount should come from your dog's diet plan—not guesswork.

Frequently asked questions

What is eggshell powder used for?

It provides calcium for suitably formulated homemade or DIY raw recipes that require an additional calcium source.

Can I add it to complete dog food?

Not routinely. A complete, balanced food should already supply the calcium your dog needs. Only supplement if advised by your vet.

Does it replace bone in a raw diet?

It can supply calcium in a professionally formulated boneless recipe, but it does not replace every nutrient provided by bone or balance a diet on its own.

Is it suitable for puppies?

Only use under veterinary guidance as part of a properly formulated growth diet. Do not add it routinely to complete puppy food.

Are there any other ingredients?

No. The manufacturer's composition is 100% egg shell.
